How to Know If You're Actually Getting Real Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage?

How to Know If You're Actually Getting Real Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage?

Our online course, designed for post-op recovery, swelling and lymphatic massage, teaches you how to prevent and get rid of fibrosis and swelling after plastic surgery — whether you're healing from Liposuction, a BBL, a Tummy Tuck, a Mommy Makeover or another procedure. You'll get a full explanation of how the lymphatic system works, what real Manual Lymphatic Drainage is, and how to find a properly certified lymphatic massage therapist.

Excessive painful swelling, lumps, bumps and fibrosis are all signs that your body is not healing properly and needs your help. Your massages should not be painful, fibrosis doesn't have to become permanent scar tissue, and swelling doesn't have to last months post-op.

In this course, we go over how to navigate the phases of post-op healing, the common things you may be doing after surgery — like using rollers on yourself at home — that cause swelling to increase and harden into fibrosis, what exactly is supposed to happen during your lymphatic drainage post-op massage, and how to know if the massages you're getting are real Manual Lymphatic Drainage.

If you're preparing for surgery with any surgeon, especially at Sonobello or Elite Body Sculpture, you already know they don't tell you much pre-op — and even less post-op. Sometimes the things they advise end up causing more swelling, which left untreated leads to fibrosis, turning a recovery that should take weeks into months. If we work with the lymphatic system instead of against it, fibrosis and swelling can go away in a matter of weeks.

The key to everything in your recovery is swelling! If yours won't go away, your massages are painful, or you need help finding a certified Lymphatic Drainage Therapist in your area, this course is for you. Controlling your swelling is what makes your recovery smooth, painless and quick.

How to Know If You're Actually Getting Real Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage?

The only way to know if you're getting the real Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage that you need post-op is by learning:

  • What the "lymphatic" part of Lymphatic Drainage Massage means.
  • How the technique is supposed to be done.
  • Why it works for swelling.
  • How the sequence is supposed to go in order to work for swelling reduction.
  • What your therapist should know about the lymphatic system to verify they are properly trained and experienced in MLD.
  • What credentials or certifications your therapist should have.
  • What those credentials mean / the level of knowledge your therapist should have.

What You'll Learn

Take your healing into your own hands

  • Real MLD is never painful

No rollers, machines, ice, heat, oil or deep pressure — learn exactly what a correct Manual Lymphatic Drainage session should feel like.

  • Swelling is how your body heals

Understand the phases of wound healing, what to expect from swelling, and how to clear it before it stagnates and causes complications.

  • Fibrosis can be avoided — and reversed

Learn what causes lymphostatic fibrosis, what makes it worse, and how to turn it back into swelling your body can drain out.

  • The right supplies, used correctly

Arnica, lipo foams and compression garments — the difference between the everyday versions and the kind that works for plastic surgery recovery.

Is This Course For You?

Take this course if…

  • You're preparing for Lipo, a BBL, a Tummy Tuck, a Mommy Makeover or another procedure and want a smooth, informed recovery.

  • You can't tell if the massages you're paying for are real Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
